Whitez offers an intimate live music venue in the centre of Swansea. Despite its small size, it offers great music and manages to attract some big names in the music industry. It has seen Pete Doherty and Goldie Lookin’ Chain grace its stage, but also offers a platform for local acts to showcase their talent. So no matter what genre you are interested in, there will be something for everyone. Tickets for events come in at reasonable prices so ensure you look out for an event to suit you. Brangwyn Hall

Brangwyn Hall was opened in 1934, and since then has gone on to become one of the best live music venues in Swansea. It is the place to come in the city to see classical concerts, which will appeal to the more traditional pianists. You can see performances of classical musicians such as Beethoven, with the National Orchestra of Wales often performing here. However, it also attracts some more alternative musicians, such as Bullet for my Valentine, who will be playing in late 2015. The architecture of the building is impressive, and the acoustics even more so, which greatly compliments the many classical concerts which take place there. It is located in The Guildhall, SA1 4PE so is easily accessible, making it a great choice for a fantastic night out of culture and live music.

Bar Americanos

Bar Americanos is the best venue in Swansea if you are looking for a relaxing evening of live music along the waterfront. Bar Americanos is committed to nurturing new talent, and offers the chance for local bands to play. As you become more confident in your piano playing, you may find it is time for you to grace a stage, and Bar Americanos would be a great place to start. The bar offers an enviable atmosphere of live music in Swansea, and with music on offer Wednesday through to Sunday, you can see live music most days of the week. If you are looking for a more lively and energetic experience, Fridays and Saturdays are great; whereas for a more chilled atmosphere, Sundays will be more suitable. It is based at Prince of Wales Dock, SA1 8PP.

Bunkhouse Swansea

The Bunkhouse has quickly become a staple of the music scene in South Wales as a small venue who constantly punch above their weight. The Bunkhouse is boasting two main bars, the Park Street bar being the entrance bar giving you a warm welcome, serving craft beers, a pool table, juke box, cloakroom and serving top class food all day long (delivery available). Through the doors and into The Kingsway bar which is an award winning music venue, playing host to touring bands, acts & DJ's from across the globe and being the go-to-venue for local acts to play.
